Location a plus, extremely small rooms a minus
Sep 24th, 2020
We booked last minute (night before) and got a very small room. I do not know if all are this small but we could hardly pass the bed to walk to the other side. The bathroom is the smallest I have ever had in a hotel. We paid 75 euro per night excluding taxes en breakfast which was okay for a touristic location like Beaune. We did not take breakfast here. The room looked so depressing, we opted for coffee and a pastry in a nice bar in Beaune. Parking is okay. Not secure, but it is free which is nice in Beaune. The hotel is only 5 minutes from the center of Beaune which is why we chose it. On our last day house keeping entered the room without knocking which was not pleasant. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Small rooms but great service
Aug 26th, 2020
We had an enjoyable stay at this Ibis, although the rooms were small, they were very clean and the service was fantastic. Very polite and welcoming staff. We actually left my daughter’s pillow in our room, and they very kindly sent it back to England for us. So we are very grateful and that sort of service deserves 5 stars! Thank you ! Great location, great/secure parking, cool room (despite hot temperature outside). But....we arrived at check-in, followed by another family, but had to wait for the receptionist to answer 2 external calls, before she would even acknowledge our presence. We had 3 bikes on our car, which we mentioned. The receptionist just waved to another part of the hotel, indicating where we could store the bikes safely. We subsequently discovered the secure parking, which meant we could leave the bikes with the car, but this was over an hour later, and with no assistance/suggestion from reception. As far as Covid 19 is concerned, the hotel just appeared to be paying lip service, with hand sanitisers available. Breakfast was a complete shambles. Just 1 lady struggling to provide clean trays, no social distancing, not enough room - people were taking trays to sit by the pool, as tables weren't being cleared - again no staff. We all felt very uncomfortable, and subsequently ended up eating on the front terrace - just to get away from other people, and to be able to sit down! Completely understaffed. Would we stay again (a stopover on the way to the Alpes), maybe, but definitely not while Covid19 remains an issue! The English receptionist at checkout, was very 'short'. We got the impression that the staff that were there, were completely overwhelmed. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Another Ibis, but this was more "budget" than "standard"
Jan 28th, 2020
We have stayed at many, many Ibis over the years, and the formula remains the same – smart front desks and reception area with the difference being in the room. Generally the “standard” Ibis are the same and better than the “budget”. However, this was the exception – despite being a “standard” Ibis, the room size and décor were much more “budget”, they being very small with no tea or coffee making facilities which the standard Ibis usually have (but the Ibis Budget don’t). That aside, still comfortable and clean and a great location just on the edge of the town centre so don’t bother eating dinner or breakfast in the hotel – take a trip into town for a good range of restaurants for dinner and cafés for breakfast (at half the price of the hotel breakfast option). The measure is would we return, and yes we would because of the location, but unfortunately for this particular Ibis, just an average rating based on room size and lack of room facilities. Good overnight stop

Clean hotel, friendly staff. It's only a few minutes walk to the old town with the Hospice, bars, restaurants and good shops. Room was compact but comfortable and everything worked. After wandering around the town we decided to eat in the restaurant (raining). Good service, menu limited but food well cooked and presented, and prices reasonable. Easy to find and ample parking. Would stay again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
