Overnight Stay

Feb 23rd, 2020

Room was large [2x queen bed] .The bed was comfortable and all linen clean. The ensuite was a good size and also clean and stocked with toiletries. Tea/coffee making facilities were included. Overall the room was well maintained and quiet. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Mix review...

Feb 22nd, 2020

Stayed here as a family of 3 (2 rooms) I was solo with the other two sharing. On booking nearly six months ago I requested a quiet room as I am a light sleeper. Well they gave me a room beside the life facing the street traffic... Sleep quality was terrible, lift operating through the night people entering and exiting rooms, people have conversations not good. On the other hand by relatives were placed at the end of the hall not facing the street and had peaceful nights. Lesson #1 never request a quite room at Ibis as you will be assigned the worst one in the building. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. One the first night one of my towels had black marks so I put on the floor only to have been skipped by house cleaning that day. The next night room was cleaned but one towel had a long strand of black hair (I'm blonde). The shower bath combo was difficult for my relatives to get in and out of, they are aged 58 and 63 and struggled as there was no safety rail in the shower. On our next family trip to Brisbane we will try the Mercure hotel next door. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Has slipped a bit

Feb 10th, 2020

We stayed here 2 years ago so were excited to return to enjoy what we had experienced then. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite the same. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean and we slept well in a very comfy bed, but the feel of the room, especially the bathroom, was one of weariness as if it knew it was tired and in need of revitalising. The guest laundry was good and at $10 all up, was an affordable way for our clothing to keep clean. Breakfast which we had devoured with great pleasure and eagerness last time round was on the verge of being deemed mediocre this time, with substandard coffee and a seemingly lower quality of product, although the hash browns were amazing, as was Liz. Reception staff of Marlen and Alice were wonderful, being professional, fun and adept; great ambassadors for the Accor brand. Overall, still a good hotel but last time was better. Excellent Location

Feb 4th, 2020

The hotel is near to Roma Gardens and Roma Street Station. A short walk from the city centre. We stayed in early January so the hotels catering facilities were closed down although breakfast was available. Friendly helpful staff and a good sized comfortable room. We heard fellow guests complaining about the cost of car parking which did not affect us. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
