    Free WiFi

Situated in downtown Montreal (just three blocks south of Canada Place), Hôtel Le Crystal earns consistent praise from previous guests for its convenient location and friendly staff. The hotel features 131 spacious suites, each of which is appointed with a bedroom and separate living area, and comes furnished with rain showers or deep soaking tubs, LCD TVs, kitchenettes and free Wi-Fi access. Le Place d'Armes serves as a great place to celebrate a special occasion. Travelers say that the guest rooms – appointed with exposed brick, hardwood floors, goose-down bedding and walk-in rain showers – provide the perfect setting for a romantic getaway. Those visiting Montreal with a large group note that the hotel's accommodating employees (and 10,000 plus square feet of function space) make Le Place d'Armes an easy choice for conventions and family reunions. Plus, the hotel offers guests complimentary high-speed internet in all its rooms, a much-appreciated perk for those visiting on business. And the hotel's seat in Vieux-Montreal, about a block west of Notre-Dame Basilica, entices all travelers, no matter their reason for visiting. Should you have some down time after touring the city, make an appointment at the Rainspa or take in the view (and a cocktail) at the rooftop Terrasse Place d'Armes. The hotel also houses two additional eateries: Kyo Bar Japonais offers an extensive menu of Japanese specialties, including sushi and izakaya plates, while Brasserie 701 serves French comfort food.

Previous guests say the Hyatt Regency's location – across the street from the modern art museum and less than a mile west of Vieux-Montreal – makes an excellent place to start your tour of the city. Visitors are also fond of this Hyatt's accommodations. The property's 605 guest rooms look sleek and stylish with blue and gold decor and amenities like iPod docking stations, flat-screen TVs and free high-speed internet access to help you relax or complete work on the go. 4-star HOTEL CLASS
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 1561 reviewsTripAdvisor (1561)

The W brand's signature swanky style doesn't quite blend into the W Montréal's Old City location, but guests don't seem to mind. Recent visitors praised this hotel's decor, characterized by bright colors and contemporary furnishings and its gracious hotel staff. Guest rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows and are dressed in airy blues and browns. And each accommodation is outfitted with a 49-inch flat-screen LCD TV, iPod docking stations and high-speed internet access (for a fee). Rubbing elbows with Notre-Dame Basilica in the heart of the Old City, Le Saint-Sulpice Hôtel offers a more contemporary feel than its Vieux-Montreal competitors — much to the delight of recent guests. Travelers rave about Le Saint-Sulpice's suites, which come furnished with kitchenettes, separate living areas, complimentary Wi-Fi access and (the icing on the cake for many visitors) oversized bathrooms stocked with L'Occitane toiletries. Montreal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel
    Dorval, CA
    4-star HOTEL CLASS
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 1143 reviewsTripAdvisor (1143)

Tucked inside the Montréal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport, this Marriott outpost caters primarily to red-eye fliers. Previous guests describe the property as spacious and comfortable, with guest rooms touting warm brown and orange hues, cozy duvets and minifridges. Should you have some spare time (or an inkling to step outside of your room), work off any lingering energy in the fitness center or the indoor pool (which features floor-to-ceiling windows), or soothe sore muscles with a treatment at AltiSpa. And if you'd prefer to dine in the company of other travelers, claim a table at Bijou Resto | Bar, which dishes out Quebecois specialties. As far as airport hotels go, travelers were impressed, but it was the Marriott's friendly and professional employees that truly made their stay pleasant. Plus, if you are a member of the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program, you can earn and redeem points here.

    Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth
    Montreal, CA
    4-star HOTEL CLASS
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 790 reviewsTripAdvisor (790)
    Free WiFi

Since opening in 1958, Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth has welcomed many members of the British royal family, as well as a long list of celebrities. However, some recent guests feel that this Fairmont property falls short of its reputation, citing dated guest rooms and high nightly rates as reasons to stay elsewhere. On the other hand, Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth earns a nod of approval for its central location (above Montreal's central train station), and those who enjoyed their stay recommend reserving a room on a higher floor for views of the Notre-Dame Basilica. No matter which room you pick, you'll have access to high-speed Internet (for a fee), cable television and a minibar. You're also invited to take advantage of the property's fitness center, indoor pool and Gibson Salon Spa. When hunger strikes, you can choose to splurge on Mediterranean cuisine at Le Montréalais Bistrot-Bar Restaurant. As a member of the AccorHotels family, this hotel participates in the Le Club AccorHotels loyalty program. Note: The hotel will be closed for 12 months starting mid-June 2016 for renovations. The hotel is expected to reopen in June 2017.

TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 2251 reviewsTripAdvisor (2251)

Recent visitors found little to complain about their stay at the Montreal Marriott Chateau Champlain. The Marriott's seat in downtown Montreal – on the southeastern edge of Canada Place, and just a short walk from the Bonaventure metro station – makes a convenient hub for both business and leisure travelers. And according to recent guests, the hotel is just as attractive as its location. Rooms here are spacious and bright (thanks to wall-to-wall windows that usher in natural light), and feature HD flat-screen TVs, complimentary Wi-Fi access, Bath & Body Works toiletries and expansive work desks. For the best views, travelers recommend requesting a room on a higher floor facing the Old City. Though you'll likely be spending most of your time exploring the city, if you do rustle up some extra time, you can relax at the hotel's indoor pool and whirlpool, unwind at L'Ultime spa, or enjoy continental cuisine and French and Mediterranean fare at either Restaurant Samuel de Champlain or Bar Le Senateur. This Marriott outpost allows members of the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program to earn and redeem points here.

    Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel
    Montreal, CA
    4-star HOTEL CLASS
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 2713 reviewsTripAdvisor (2713)

Located in downtown Montreal (a block from the Bonaventure metro station), Le Centre Sheraton boasts 825 stylish accommodations. Although some say the guest rooms here lean toward the smaller side compared to hotels of a similar caliber, recent visitors were generally pleased with Le Centre Sheraton's contemporary spaces. Rooms feature wooden furnishings and bright red accents and come equipped with Sheraton's signature Sweet Sleeper beds, 37-inch LCD TVs and high-speed Internet access (for an additional fee). The color scheme in the guest rooms matches that of Bistro Le Boulevard, which dishes out tasty (albeit expensive, according to some travelers) French-style fare. Le Centre Sheraton also houses a fitness center and a pool, as well as a spa/health club on the sixth floor. Though some outspoken visitors complain of lackluster service, most report a pleasant experience overall thanks to the property's prime location and comfortable guest rooms. And since this Sheraton is part of the Marriott hotel family, Marriott Bonvoy members can earn and use points here.
