Myrtle Beach is well-known for its range of golf options. The challenging (and pricey) Legends golf course is one of the best, according to recent visitors. It offers 54 holes and a huge Scottish-style clubhouse. The courses takes advantage of the area's natural offerings, and feature marshy wetlands, ponds and thick patches of trees.

Those staying in the adjoining Legends Resort can take advantage of all-inclusive packages that include breakfast, lunch and some alcoholic beverages. However, some reviewers complain that the courses could be better maintained. Tee times are available from about 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day and start at $50 and packages are also available.
