Hotel prices can be expensive during these months, so avoid booking near the touristy Avenida dos Aliados and look for budget accommodations in areas near the Mercado da Bolhão or Avenida da Boavista. As for the time frame, you should book a few months in advance if you plan to visit between May and September, especially if your trip overlaps with one of the region's popular festivals.
October to April
The rainy season in Porto starts toward the end of September and lasts through April, with slight relief in March. High temperatures tend to hover in the 50s and 60s with lows only dipping into the 40s.
