The best time to visit the U.S. Virgin Islands is April to June, when you can expect mild weather and very little rainfall. In the USVI's peak season, from December to March, the temperature ranges from the mid-70s to high 80s with breezy evenings. This peak tourist season in the U.S Virgin Islands coincides with that of many other Caribbean islands, and hotel and resort rates can rise by as much as 50 percent. Temperatures stay around 80 degrees Fahrenheit at this time of year, with what many residents refer to as the "Christmas Winds" in the evenings. Packing a jacket could come in handy.
