Rocky First Cruise

Dec 9th, 2018

I loved my first cruise despite the hiccups. We couldn’t leave tampa due to fog. We had to miss Grand Cayman due to this. We then got to Cozumel and there was bad weather which caused all the excursions to be cancelled. We got to go on one but a portion was cancelled as well. They were great about offering discounts. The ship itself was so fun. So many activities and I even won a free cruise at bingo!

We enjoyed our time with Paradise; weather was perfect for this time around. Overall, we preferred Royal Caribbean ???? which I’m sure in the far future, we’ll cruise with Carnival again!

Ship was very clean the staff is friendly. Had to stay at the Port of Tampa for an extra day and miss the Grand Cayman Islands but besides that it was a great time. Mr. P was the greatest!!!

Just got off yesterday, it's a decent 5 day cruise although we missed a port because of fog. Couldn't leave Tampa as we were supposed to, but it turned out fine. The ship has a different layout than the others I've been on, but it didn't take long to get used to. It's clean, the staff was attentive and hardworking and friendly. I was not disappointed with the trip at all. The buffet was just adequate, but the dining room was great.

The Paradise was a very clean, well kept ship. You can tell it has been updated. This was the first Christmas cruise of the season and the decorations were beautiful. Food was just okay in the dining room. Guys burgers were delicious. Spa was nice but expensive. Pool area was usually packed as well as serenity. we always sat up by waterworks. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Overall a nice small cruise ship. The debark process could have been better executed. Unfortunately due to fog, our cruise did not leave the port until early the next morning, making us miss 1 of 2 ports, but still had a good time ????

Nice Cruise

My Mother and I had a great time. We hope to take the same cruise next year.

I went with my Mother. We are planning to go again in the near future. Except for the waiting period at the beginning of the trip, it was a wonderful vacation. We now kow the do and don'ts for our next cruise.

Outstanding Thanksgiving Cruise

Dec 6th, 2018

For a small older ship without all the bells and whistles of a large ship, the crew does a great job making it so much fun and having a lot of activities to keep you occupied. The cruise director and staff make it so much fun!!! This is my second time on this ship and I have been on many large ships, for some reason the photography staff does a better job than any ship I have ever been on hands down!

We got what we paid for

Dec 5th, 2018

We were on a budget so we chose carnival for our young family (ages 6yrs and 4yrs). Pretty much everything we were looking forward to was just "meh". One pool which was always too packed to swim in. Adults only area also always full. Too much down time, not much to do if you're not in port or into gambling. One mediocre entertainment option per evening (like a 20 minute comedy show. One evening there was nothing scheduled!) and it was always at a weird time where we had to rush through dinner and skip dessert to make it. Kids club was basically just watching movies and coloring. Food was decidedly lackluster. The upscale options which used to be included (and really good!) are now an extra $20 upcharge. So if you don't want to pay you're stuck with really plain choices like grilled chicken breast with veggies or pasta. On the upside, the staff was amazing and Guys Burger Joint is delicious. Overall, we got what we paid for. Next time I'll save for longer and take a Disney cruise. Carnival is definitely still pandering to an older crowd and is not a good option for families.
