We had an amazing time aboard the Costa Neo Romantica. The entertainment was outstanding and we enjoyed South Korea and Japan despite avoiding the seasonable Typhoons. The food was a let down and the English descriptions on the menus not appealing. The Buffet limited. The English announcements were very basic and I’m not sure if I’d cruise with Costa again. I did book them because of their reputation

<p>Sailing though the Fjords was a breathtaking experience.  We cruise with Costa (this is our 3rd time) because they always have different destinations than the other cruise lines as well as the continental flare and delicious pasta! They did not disappoint with this cruise.</p> <p> </p> <p>That being said there are a few things that bother me.  Smoking is allowed on the ship, and being an ashmatic, this can be bothersome at times.  Also there is a bit of disorganization on the boat with all activities.  If you ignore these issues, you will have an amzing time on Costa.</p>

<p>The room did not have a porthole which I thought it did from the info I&nbsp;was given when I booked it.</p> <p>Have to remember not to stay up in front..Very rolling in the wind</p> <p>Smoking permitted too close to entrance way onto deck.Children playing nearby with smokers in the passageway..Smokers were everywhere on the open decks</p>

<p>Crew were definitely attentive and personable.&nbsp; Great leadership presence in all facilities. Dining experiences actually exceeded my expectations - main dining room was excellent.&nbsp; Limited entertainment options.&nbsp; Destinations and time in port were ideal.&nbsp; Embarquement/disembarquement was very organized and well managed.&nbsp; Will definitely cruise Costa again!</p>

<p><span style="color:green">We made formal complaint ater 7 days, when crouise been finifh. till today (40 days) we got no answer ! 0</span></p> <p><span style="color:green">let&#39;s start with the fact that a small group of participants in the cruise - we are not Italians . This means that we do not speak Italian- . English during the trip - he was discriminated against . many messages were broadcast only in Italian and French. We asked the staff about the use of English - standard - we were ignored . through it - the last day , we did not know how to leave the ship. I feel discriminated , as a person speaking English and not Italian.</span><br /> <span style="color:green">&nbsp;restaurant - service was slow , not nice , arrogant and not helping . Me and my husband (it was our honeymoon ) we are together Managers &nbsp;in the F &amp; B department , so we know how the service should look like .</span><br /> <span style="color:green">&nbsp;on the menu - we waited 30 min to collect the award - another 30 minutes and so with every step . together, dinner occupied us about 3 hours</span><br /> <span style="color:green">waiting staff - they were very arrogant. once - when I sat down at the table , the waiter told me to get up, go because he said that the table was not ready ( missing on the 1 glass, table has been indicated by the manager at the front ) , I heard a lot of inappropriate jokes about yourself , which I&#39;m so sad . repeatedly when I asked for more water , or a glass of ice - I was ignored. when we did not like the food (meat tasted like the sole of the shoe - no one wanted to talk to us and once&nbsp; </span><span style="color:green">again we were ignored )</span><span style="color:green">Front Desk - front desk , which should be a pillar of kindness, help and support for the client, turned out to be a place where we felt bickering little children put into a corner . when we pitched complain - every time we heard - &quot;it is normal&quot; , no solution , each time in an angry manner , were sent to a room - like small children .</span><br /> <span style="color:green">our room had a defect in the furniture - very crackled , in a way that made it impossible to sleep. it reported the issue several times - (we have recordings confirming defect cabin ) Ladies at the front desk support once again with the nerves and angrily told (it is normal , go to your cabin ! ) very not nice , unpleasant and not helpful person.</span><br /> <span style="color:green">our housekeeper - Daniel - a wonderful man . the only person who really want to praise.</span><span style="color:green">we should add that the crew - smoking cigarets in the evenings when clients. on the upper deck, near the swimming pool and sun loungers, many times you could meet employees area, behaving loudly and inappropriately. repeatedly during peak hours, I could not use the pool or gym, because it benefited crew and me - the customer who paid for it - there was no space.</span><br /> <span style="color:green">I do not want to pay the service charge - because employees simply do not deserve it! have heard that our data card in the system and the card will be charged.</span><span style="color:green">We demand the return of service charge. we will not pay this privilege so arrogant to use. it was our honeymoon - which was broken. in previous years, we used the services of Princess and Carnival celibrity - never had problems with this thing.</span><br /> <span style="color:green">Service Charge - is a reward for service. Costa NeoRomantica does not deserve it. are discriminated, we feel very badly after the cruise.</span></p>

a wonderful cruise on the Indian Ocean

It was a three-week cruise from Singapore to Mauritius. We visited Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Seychelles. Ships after renovation, new. Food was excellent. High-level service. Entertainment unobtrusive. Minuses. Sometimes smelled of food waste. Squeaking in the cabin. Neptune holiday was mediocre.

Overall, we were pleasantly surprised. First time cruising in Europe and with Costa cruises we did not know what to expect. The ship design and larger state room (had balcony) were excellent. The staff service is second to none.Overall, a very nice cruise in northern Europe. Ports of call were excellent.

Not the best cruise I have taken

I have taken 10 cruises, and this is my least favorite cruise out of all of them. I will definitely not cruise with Costa in the future.
