Enjoyable trip

nice cruise....I would not advise getting off the ship in Port Limon until they actually finish building around it. Literally a fenced in walk to a mostly vacant block of buildings. A few rough patches with food service in the main dining room and one specialty restaurant.

Absolutely Fantastic Panama Canal Round Trip Cruise!

Overall, it was a wonderful cruise. The only part we didn't rate highly was disembarkation. Despite the ship leaving a day late, NCL made up for it fairly. We would sail on the Jade again.

We boarded this ship after the previous cruise was canx in Puerto Rico. The food was delicious. I think the Garden cafes lunch buffet was better than dinner. Breakfast was good as well. Quite a variety of food. Ate at 4 specialty restaurants: LeBistro, La Cucina, Moderno and Cagneys. All were good. But, I especially liked Cagneys. Steak was like butter. Alizar, Jasmine, O'Shehans and Grand Pacifics food wss also exceptional. Cruise Director Vincent and his staff are the best! Lots of info provided, lots of games, music, shows provided. Crew members were very friendly and professional. We stayed in Miami an extra day and missed Cartagena due to the mechanical issues. They were charging us the port and other taxes. After a few complaints, NCL decided to eat that cost for everyone on board. Very good Panama Canal Cruise. The Jade was clean, staff very nice, food outstanding. Thanks NCL.

Awesome Ship great itinerary

This was my longest cruise to date, 11 days, and has me thinking that longer is better.. I was more relaxed than ever. There was lots to do, and fun was had. The food was great, and the thermal suite was amazing, and a great investment.

Dead In The Water In Lovely San Juan

Disappointing

The cruise was cancelled due to a mechanical issue with the ship. This was our third attempt to take this cruise, twice before with Carnival. The first time it was canceled due to a hurricane, the second time due to an ice storm in Toronto. Somewhat turned off on cruising at the moment.

NCL Cruise Cancellation handled well by NCL

NCL had mechanical problems when we docked in Puerto Rico. It was a Thanksgiving cruise and is was cancelled on night 3. By day 5 all passengers had to exit the ship. NCL chartered flights for all 2700 passengers from San Juan to Miami. They allowed us to stay on the ship until 4:30pm on day 5. All ship activities were up and running until we all departed the ship. Groups were called to depart every 1.5 hours for two days. All in all, NCL had an issue but took care of the guests. We stayed safe and were well accommodated.

Kicked off at the first port

Had a nice time for the short period we were on the ship. Left Miami and had 2 days to San Juan. Unlimited drink package, specialty dining.... Football games Saturday and Sunday. Then after San Juan getting ready to head to St Thomas they came over the intercom and said the cruise was cancelled. Ship has problems and needs a few days of maintenance. We have to get off and make our way back to Miami. They let us stay on the boat all day Monday, a few people made plans and got off. Tuesday they got charter flights arranged and started putting people on busses back to the airport. We looked up hotels in the Islands and took a short flight to St Croix, finishing out the week there. I think it actually turned out better this way. We are getting reimbursed for flights, we get our money back for the cruise, we got 4 days of free booze and food and they will give us a credit on our next cruise equal to what we spent on this one. So I have a free cruise coming! Way to go Norwegian, that wasn't so bad after all.
