Fell short of a bucket list crusie.

Apr 2nd, 2020

This was a one time trip for us due to cost and time. Very disappointed in itinerary changes and even more frustraed that there was no communication from NCL to notify us of them. We won't use NCL again unless it is a last minute deal and we don't care where we go. The cruise itself was good but didn't meet our expectations for a bucket list cruise. Which we picked very carefully. I imagine that the all mighty dollar was the reason behind many of the changes.

Terrible Business!!!

Mar 24th, 2020

Terrible customer service!!! Never go on this cruise!!! They charged me 280$ travel protection for a trip that was cancelled by them!!! They had to cancel my cruise because of the corona virus and now since they cancelled I get screwed out of 280$!!! The travel protection is "non refundable"... How are they charging for services that I never even got to go on??? I'll definitely be speaking to a lawyer about this!!!! I'm so pissed off I can't believe a business can actually get away with this!!! They're making people pay for fake services and collecting money from it!!! Total crooks!!!

It just felt off...

Mar 22nd, 2020

Overall this was just an OK cruise, the buffet food being consistantly cold was actually a big issue for me being it is really the only breakfast to have. The entertainment was really not up to par with previous Norwegian Cruises on Breakaway class ships. The staff was just rude to folks who had drinks in the hot tubs, I have never seen a guest be told they could not have a drink in the hot tub on previous cruises but be warned that this staff will scold you. I am going to be an optimest and say that this was due to the COVID-19 scare at the time and possible lack of staff...I asked the customer service rep if they were understaffed in which she seemed insulted by the question and responded that they were fully staffed.

Amazing trip considering the circumstances

Mar 22nd, 2020

In general, I felt blessed that I was able to go on this trip, although, I was apprehensive about the outcome due to corona-virus. Fortunately, everything turned out great.

A mixed bag

Mar 22nd, 2020

Our cruise was one of the last ships to leave before all cruises were canceled. Lots of washy washy and necessary safety precautions. The Joy was a mixed bag. Some parts of the trip were enjoyable, while other parts were disappointing (which is to be expected). Overall, I did not fall in “love” with NCL or the Joy.

Nice cruise.

Mar 21st, 2020

This was our first cruise with NCL. Not a bad first impression, as the Joy was a newly remodeled, clean ship with a decent price (2K /3 people/ 7 days). I don’t need to see MX towns anymore, but it was the closest port to drive to that we could sail from. Crew was good, food was good, some of the fun wasn’t included, but was available. If you don’t mind MX ports, this was a good cruise.

Last sailing before shutdown

Mar 19th, 2020

Much needed break from reality. Could have been more enjoyable if more heat/sun on the sea days. But glad to have the break before COVID19 put a pause on the industry.

Just right Mexican Riviera Cruise

Mar 19th, 2020

This was a great memorable trip for my husband and I (grandparents), our 3 grown daughters, one son-in-law, and 2 grand babies, 3&6. A cruise is a perfect place to have different ages so everyone can do their own thing. Everyone had a good time.
