Looking forward to booking another Cruise in the Future! Looking at Australia next! As a group of girls we felt very safe at all times with any of the excursions and on the ship!

Misrepresentation

Jul 8th, 2019

We booked the Greek Isles cruise on the Jewel of the Seas departing from Civitavecchia on May 20. We made the reservation directly on the Royal Caribbean site. We selected an ocean view stateroom. The picture in the booking process was showing a large window which is important to me as I am claustrophobic. When we boarded the ship we were assigned a stateroom on the second deck lighted only by a small pothole. In addition the second deck was used essentially for crew lodging and storage of equipment and should not have been used for high paying customers. This is clearly a case of misrepresentation and deceptive advertising. We have made a number of cruises over the years, but Royal Caribbean is by far the worst cruise company we have ever used. Everything was mediocre, starting with the food. The ship was crowded, as well as the shore excursions (groups of 54 people. Once you are on-board the ship, you feel you are a lemon that must be squeezed. Most drinks at the bars are $12 and up (plus mandatory 18% service charge). In the restaurants it is hard to find a bottle of wine below $50.

Greek Isles

Itinerary on this ship is amazing all good ports. Only issue I had with the ship is there was an odor in the lobby it smelt like a septic system I heard others make the same comment this odor was there for the entire cruise. Ship was clean

Great Greek Isles Cruise!

Jul 3rd, 2019

Overall fantastic cruise. Port stops were incredible and cruise days were filled with fun onboard activities. Booked a sea kayaking excursion in Santorini through Royal Caribbean and it was amazing. Didn’t do an excursion in Mykonos and chose to explore the city and spend some time swimming at a local beach. Took a private tour of Athens and Katakolon with a company called Elite Tours. HIGHLY recommend going this route. The only downfall of this entire cruise was the onboard spa scheduling. Massages were rescheduled last minute and massage and nail appointments started 15-30 minutes late.

Lovely Mediterranean Cruise

Jun 21st, 2019

Overall we felt like it was a good cruise. We have decided there are two types of cruisers...those who really love the cruise experience, and those who love the convenience of it to see the world, and we fall more into the latter category. We chose this trip because of the itinerary, and we felt like we maximized the time we had in each port. We feel like RCL does a good enough job at catering to both groups, compared to some other lines who we feel are too pushy in the package department. This cruise generally met, but did not exceed our expectations.

We did the eastern med cruise with this ship. The places we went to were fantastic Santorini a stand out favourite but excursions were pricey when you realise that they all end up taking you shopping to their preferred places to spend even more money. Ship was crowded and sun loungers difficult to find anywhere other than out on top deck in direct sunlight. Thank god for the balcony. We rarely found a seat in any of the entertainment venues unless we went really really early. Food was BLAH unimpressive and almost all restraunts were closed before 10 with the exception of the pool bar. This company also pretty much abandoned us at the airport at 10am ( others were there earlier) for a flight home that wasn’t until 10pm. Other cruises have had tours that can be taken where they then drop you at the airport for your flight at the end, ah but the they wouldn’t get the benefits of taking you shopping. Unlikely to ever book with them again very unimpressed
