Nice Caribbean Cruise

Dec 10th, 2018

Overall we enjoyed ourselves. There's lots to do and enjoy on the boat and the trip seems so fast.

Finished our cruise on 12/7. We had a great time, our most relaxing cruise yet! There was so much to do, just not enough time to do it all. We enjoyed Flowrider, the slides, main pool and Solarium. We spent a lot of time at the Barnacle and Barrell. It was a great place to people watch and enjoy the late night 70's and 80's parties. We also attended the adult comedy show and it was great. We did go the the Schooner Bar but didn't enjoy it as much as other cruises. We only ate at Windjammer twice. The food was OK, just too crowded for me to really enjoy. We went to dinner twice in the MDR and were happy with our choices and service. Twice we ordered room service for breakfast....best dining choice the whole cruise as we enjoyed our meal on the balcony. Speaking of balcony, our room was nice and clean. Our attendant, Pancho, did a great job. Other reviews mentioned the elevators being out, all of them worked during our cruise. We missed Cocoa Cay, but docked at Nassau a day early. We were a little disappointed but after 5 cruises this was the only time weather prevented us from going. Can't wait to schedule another cruise!

For our first cruise ever this was an awesome ship. For starters the staff was super friendly. Idewa, our room attendant, was awesome. Any time he saw us he would ask how our day was and genuinely seemed interested. The dining room staff was the same. Ricky, the cruise director was hilariously fun. When he wasn't hosting different events around the ship, we would stop in after different shows and make you laugh while informing you of what fun event was coming up lated that day. The food in the main dining room was really good. The windjammer was okay. We went to Johnny Rockets and the service there was as good as the food. As far as cocktails go I only got two. The Mango Pineapple (or maybe it was coconut) Daiquiri from the pool deck was super good. The Royal Zombie fpr the Bamboo Room was poured really strong but was still good. While onboard there was never too little to do and never a rush to do too much. I would highly recommend the Mariner to anyone.

Our dining room staff and room steward were amazing. We really wanted a burger so we went to Johnny Rockets. The fries were pretty bland but the burgers we good. I wish they had a free burger on the ship. Some of the staff was a little rude to us. Specifically our server at Johnny Rockets and in the cafe. We were the first people to show up when they opened, and they took our order after helping 7 other parties. They didn’t even bring us water or greet us. We were the only people seated inside. So I finally said out loud are you guys only taking orders on the balcony. So the waiter came over took our order. After ordering chili cheese fries to share, two milkshakes and ,two burgers. I decided to order bacon cheese fries. I got the servers attention and asked for the fries and he rolled his eyes at me. There was one lady in the cafe early mornings who would just give me death stares when ever I would order and wouldn’t respond to my good mornings. Other than that everyone was super friendly , food was good and there was lots to do. Plus I won $400 in the casino.

Amazing Caribbean Cruise experience

The Mariner of the Seas is one of the best refurbished cruise ships to take for a short time cruise. Lots of activities for kids and family, service is great and the room attendant/lounge concierge are very professional. Highly recommended!

Boring and nothing is inclusive.

Dec 5th, 2018

Other cruises I have been on had comedy shows or something almost all day long. This boat had very few shows and the shows they had was always Latin dancing which I like but I wanted a variety of music. The pool party only lasted 2 hours and only included a DJ that played music and a belly flop competition. Fun but only 2 hours long. Other cruises I was on had fun pool parties all day long. I also want an adult section. It’s not fun watching infants run around while I’m trying to drink and have adult fun. Overall the boat was great but it was boring. Also Coco Cay used to be a place to relax in a hammock and drink. Listen to music and eat. Now it’s just like going to a resort beach. It’s not the same as years ago. Lost the “private” island feeling.
