Great ship

Jul 20th, 2019

This is a really fun cruise on a great ship. There are a lot of things to do onboard. The stops were all really fun and had a lot of different excursions to choose from.

My experience on Symphony was hot and cold. The appeal of vacationing on the largest cruise ship in the world is immense, but, it comes with it's downsides. On sea days, every pool and bar will be practically packed to the brim. Getting a drink can be a 5-10 minute ordeal at times. The bionic bar at some times had parents letting their kids go wild with the ordering tablets they use, filling up the queue with non alcoholic drinks they didn't even really want, it was frustrating to say the least. Getting an elevator is a time consuming event. There are alot of pushy and impatient people aboard who will have no problem packing the elevators with 12-15 people at a time. With no air conditioning in the lifts, this can become uncomfortable and smelly. Where this boat really shines for me, is the attention to detail and the outstanding level of compassion the crew has. They will go above and beyond any request you may have. A lot of times I found they actually payed such close attention, they would anticipate your next request before you even had the chance to open your mouth. Main dining is excellent as always. The wait staff is very personable and accommodating. I didn't frequent Windjammer or the other complimentary dining services, though most of them were pretty good. El Loco fresh was a good spot to grab a quesadilla and some beer by the pool. Sorrentos is the best option if you are hungry and don't want to wait for a bite. For a great atmosphere to grab a drink, don't miss out on Solarium bar. Sammy, lead bartender and his crew have it down. Even when short staffed, they were pumping out drinks faster than you could believe. They love to have a good time, and won't be afraid to joke around with you. Definitely the best bar on the ship. There are alot of things I don't touch down on in this review, simply because of how much there is to experience on this ship. With one last suggestion, if you don't have kids, stay on the boat in CocoCay. You will find all your favorite venues and entertainment options to be fairly vacant. I didn't regret not getting off the ship one bit. I would sail on the Symphony again, but not before returning to a smaller ship again. Freedom class is a favorite for me. Regardless, if you have the opportunity to book a room on Symphony, don't hesitate!

Wow! So much fun!

Overall, this was a fun ship. The family had a blast, and we will be back. I never felt like I was on a ship with 6000 people. Royal Caribbean did an amazing job with the ship layout, and various options.

We had an amazing cruise! The ship was beautiful! The cruise went to great places and excursions were great! We just had one problem with the dining room we had a group of 12 and they thought we only had 9 so we did not sit near each other.

The cruise was amazing. We had a blast. Loved the design, art, entertainment and food. Our stateroom was spacious and loved the view from our Central Park balcony.

Pleasantly surprised!

The ship was seemingly so uncrowded. I remember hearing stuff say the ship was full, but unlike other times and other sailings, I never felt crowded in. We hardly ever waited for anything, even dinner. It was a fantastic Cruise!
