    Sagamore Pendry Baltimore

TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4.5 based on 247 reviewsTripAdvisor (247)

Backed by Under Armour founder Kevin Plank, the Sagamore Pendry Baltimore opened in March 2017. The waterfront hotel enjoys an excellent location in downtown Baltimore's historic Fell's Point neighborhood and sits near must-see sights, including the Inner Harbor and Patterson Park, and numerous restaurants and bars. However, this property's own bar has become a popular haunt for locals and visitors alike. The hotel is also home to the Italian-influenced Rec Pier Chop House and a seasonal pool bar and grill. The outdoor, infinity-edge pool is another selling point for visitors: It overlooks the harbor and is surrounded by lounge chairs and cabanas. Indoors, guests have access to a 24-hour fitness center and ample meeting and event space. (The property is a popular Baltimore wedding venue, too). As far as accommodations go, all of the 128 guest rooms and suites combine Baltimore's heritage and history with modern amenities and design. Rooms feature stocked minibars, marble bathrooms and free Wi-Fi access. Previous guests said their stays here were exceptional thanks to the friendly staff members, great location and well-designed rooms. But room rates are pricey, so iPrefer Hotel Rewards members may want to use points to pay for rooms.

The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina sits next to the Choptank River on Maryland's Eastern Shore, making it an ideal retreat for families looking for a resort experience. The Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center is a destination unto itself. Overlooking the Potomac River from the National Harbor (located in Maryland about 10 miles south of Washington, D.C.), this massive property is not ideal for sightseers. However, with its full-service Relâche Spa & Salon, 24-hour fitness center, multiple dining options and on-site shopping complex, you might be hard-pressed to find a reason to leave. The Gaylord also boasts a wide selection of family-friendly amenities, including a pool and a nightly fountain show, plus the National Children's Museum is a short walk away. When night falls, you and your clan can cozy up in spacious accommodations, appointed with custom furnishings, minifridges, flat-screen TVs and pillow-top mattresses. Although several reviewers said this pricey MGM Resorts outpost – which sits 11 miles south of Washington, D.C., in Oxon Hill, Maryland – pales in comparison to Las Vegas' casinos, many appreciated its close proximity to the National Harbor entertainment complex, as well as its variety of shops and restaurants. Dining options range from a Shake Shack to an upscale food court to celebrity chef-affiliated locales like Fish by José Andrés and Voltaggio Brothers Steak House. But MGM National Harbor offers more than just top-notch eateries. Travelers can catch a live performance in the 3,000-seat theater, admire the conservatory's themed floral arrangements or go for a dip in the outdoor swimming pool. Other available facilities include a 27,000-square-foot spa and three bars and lounges. When it's time to retire for the evening, the resort has 308 guest rooms and suites to choose from. All feature neutral color schemes and come equipped with LCD televisions, Serta pillow-top mattresses and minibars. Plus, the property's $23.59 daily resort fee covers high-speed internet access.

TripAdvisor Traveler Rating 4 based on 1848 reviewsTripAdvisor (1848)

It doesn't get more central than this: The Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel sits right on the water in the heart of the Inner Harbor. The area's most-loved attractions rest just outside the front door, including the National Aquarium, USS Constellation, Federal Hill Park and the harbor's best eateries. Overall, visitors said the staff was courteous and helpful. Business travelers report a pleasant stay thanks to the Renaissance's business center and proximity to the convention center. The accommodations, outfitted with simplistic decor and amenities like flat-screen TVs, minifridges, cozy robes and custom duvets, also earn high marks from recent guests. And previous patrons say the flavorful American fare served at Watertable Restaurant left them feeling more than satisfied. The only sour note, according to past guests, was the high price for overnight parking. If you participate in Marriott's rewards program, you may earn points to use toward freebies, such as complimentary nights, by choosing to stay here.

The Hyatt Regency boasts a pleasant combination of comfort and indulgence. Perched on the northwest corner of the Inner Harbor, the hotel is just a stone's throw from Baltimore's most popular attractions. And should you prefer to stay on the property grounds, you'll have the hotel's StayFit fitness center and the modern Bistro 300 restaurant at your service. However, recent guests offer mixed opinions about their experience at the Hyatt Regency – some say that this hotel's simplistic decor and minimal facilities aren't worth its steep nightly rates. Many guests also complain of thin walls and late-night street traffic. That said, most previous visitors report a satisfactory stay overall thanks to its location and spacious accommodations, appointed with flat-screen TVs, stocked minibars and iPod docking stations. Located about 50 miles northwest of Baltimore, Antrim 1844 is a 450-acre former plantation nestled in the foothills of Taneytown, Maryland. Now on the National Historic Trust Register, the grounds and accommodations are reminiscent of the estate's former grandeur. Guests can stay in multiple locations on the estate – from rooms in the main mansion to the more private and unique Ice House Suite or Cottage. Each guest room is individually decorated in period furnishings and many suites are named after historical figures from the Civil War era. Depending on which suite you choose, you'll find private Jacuzzis, balconies or fireplaces. Recent guests said they found their suites to be immaculate and comfortable, but noted that not all rooms have TVs and none include telephones. Travelers were also complimentary of the on-site dining options, which include the Smokehouse Restaurant, the Pickwick Pub and a wine cellar with more than 20,000 bottles. Guests said the six-course prix fixe menu at the Smokehouse Restaurant exceeded their expectations and was made even better by attentive service. Guests can also wander the ground's beautiful gardens or play on the sports courts. Overall, guests said they experienced 5-star customer service from all staff members.

The Hotel Annapolis feels more like a quaint country retreat than a major hotel. The red brick building exudes an airy feel, with natural light pouring in through the property's skylights and a popular tree-shaded courtyard welcoming lounge-ready guests.
