As a FRONTIER Miles member, you'll earn miles on Frontier Airlines based on the distance traveled between airports. You can also earn miles on purchases with Frontier's partners – including stays at participating Wyndham and Marriott hotels, cruises with Royal Caribbean International and Carnival Cruise Lines, retail purchases and car rentals – or by using the Frontier Airlines World Mastercard. You can use your accumulated miles for free flights, magazine subscriptions and car rentals.
The FRONTIER Miles program awards frequent flyer miles based on the distance traveled between airports. You can also earn points through partner companies: By providing your FRONTIER Miles membership information at any La Quinta, Radisson, Marriott or Wyndham hotel, you will accrue miles for your stay (the number of miles awarded varies by property). You can also earn miles by making purchases with retailers like Teleflora and Vinesse Wines and renting a car through Avis, Budget, Hertz, Alamo and National; securing transportation through SuperShuttle will also lead to additional earnings, as will booking a cruise with FRONTIER Miles. Additionally, you can rack up 5 miles per dollar spent with Frontier Airlines, 3 miles per dollar spent at restaurants and 1 mile per dollar spent on everyday purchases made using the Frontier Airlines World Mastercard.
You can use your miles to cover the cost of flights to more than 80 destinations across the U.S., Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean. The number of miles required to secure a free round-trip flight starts at 20,000 – the amount of miles needed for a free flight depends on your final destination and the type of award redeemed. (Note: Miles cannot be used to cover taxes and fees.) Below you'll find the minimum number of miles needed (as of July 2018) to cover a round-trip flight on six of Frontier's most popular routes:
|Route||Lowest calculated round-trip cost (in points)|
|Denver - Las Vegas||20,000|
|Denver - Salt Lake City||20,000|
|Denver - Dallas||30,000|
|Washington, D.C. - Las Vegas||30,000|
|Cleveland - Denver||30,000|
|Chicago - Salt Lake City||40,000|
The calculated costs shown above are based on booking searches conducted by U.S. News in July 2018. We analyzed 12 of each airline's highly trafficked routes within three round-trip mileage categories: short domestic, medium domestic and long for three different round-trip dates between July and September.
You may also use your accrued miles for car rentals at Hertz, Alamo or National. You can choose to redeem your miles for magazine subscriptions as well.
