#5 in Best Hotel Rewards Programs

Membership Levels

The Best Western Rewards program is divided into five levels: Blue, Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Diamond Select.

Blue

Benefits include:

  • Ability to earn and use points
  • Priority check-in/out
  • Member discounts

You can enroll in the Best Western Rewards program for free on Best Western's website. As a Blue member, you will accrue 10 points for every dollar spent on your qualifying room rate at participating hotels (excluding incidental charges like resort fees). Along with the ability to earn and redeem points, you'll have access to an exclusive reservations line, early check-in and late checkout (subject to availability) and discounted room rates of at least 10%. What's more, you'll earn 500 bonus points for every day you opt out of housekeeping services during a stay lasting two or more nights, and any free nights you use will count toward achieving elite status. Your points are never subject to blackout dates and will not expire.

Gold

Benefits include:

  • Ability to earn and use points
  • Priority check-in/out
  • Free room upgrades
  • Free amenities
  • Member discounts

You can attain Gold status by staying 10 nights (or seven total stays) or accumulating 10,000 points within a calendar year. If you are a new Best Western Rewards member, you only need to stay five nights instead of 10 in your first year to achieve Gold status thanks to the Fast Pass to Elite status perk. As a Gold member, you'll receive a 10% points bonus on top of the 10 points you're earning for every dollar spent on your room or with a rewards partner. You'll also have access to Blue membership benefits, plus the choice of a welcome gift or extra points at check-in. If available, you may also receive a room upgrade at check-in. To maintain your Gold benefits, you must requalify annually.

Platinum

Benefits include:

  • Ability to earn and use points
  • Priority check-in/out
  • Free room upgrades
  • Free amenities
  • Member discounts

You can reach Platinum status by staying 15 nights (or 10 total stays) or earning 15,000 points within a calendar year. As a Platinum member, you will earn a 15% rewards bonus in addition to the points you already earn for staying with Best Western. Platinum membership also comes with all of the perks given to Gold members. Keeping your Platinum benefits will require maintaining your Platinum status every year.

Diamond

Benefits include:

  • Ability to earn and use points
  • Priority check-in/out
  • Free room upgrades
  • Free amenities
  • Member discounts

If you stay 30 nights (or 20 total stays) or accumulate 30,000 points in a year, you will be upgraded to Diamond membership. This status earns you a 30% points bonus on top of the points you receive for your stay, as well as access to all of the benefits awarded to Platinum members. To retain your Diamond benefits, you must requalify every calendar year.

Diamond Select

Benefits include:

  • Ability to earn and use points
  • Priority check-in/out
  • Free room upgrades
  • Free amenities
  • Member discounts

By staying 50 nights (or 40 total stays) or accumulating 50,000 points within a calendar year, you'll earn Diamond Select status. As a Diamond Select member, you will collect a 50% points bonus in addition to the points you already receive for staying with Best Western. You'll also enjoy all of the benefits awarded to the previous elite tiers. You'll need to requalify each year to keep your Diamond Select status.
