#4 in Best Hotel Rewards Programs

Choice Privileges rewards you with points every time you stay in a Choice brand hotel or vacation rental, make a purchase with the Choice Privileges Visa Signature credit card from Barclays or shop at a Choice Privileges partner retailer. You can exchange those points for future stays in Choice Hotels and select Preferred Hotels & Resorts brand properties, or for airline miles, cruise vacations, Amtrak Guest Rewards points, gift cards and more.

Earn Points

You will earn five to 10 points per dollar spent on a vacation rental property and 10 points per dollar spent on a stay (not including taxes or other incidentals) at a Choice-affiliated hotel, excluding properties in Denmark, Ecuador, Estonia, Finland, Guyana, Iceland, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden. For stays at Choice brand hotels in Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Fiji, you'll earn 10 points per U.S. dollar spent on all hotel charges (including room rate, taxes, dining and bar charges, laundry and phone calls).

You can also earn points by booking trips on a variety of major cruise lines, as well as by staying at a number of Bluegreen Vacations resorts. Additionally, you can earn points by referring a friend or family member to the program, by booking rental cars with Avis or Budget, by ordering food from delivery.com through the Choice Hotels mobile app and by shopping with partner retailers like 1-800-Flowers.com and 1-800-Baskets.com. You'll earn extra benefits for booking a weeknight stay (Sunday through Thursday), such as bonus points, Amazon credit, discounts on Uber rides and more. The Choice Privileges Visa Signature credit card from Barclays allows you to earn points, too. Should you need more points, you can buy them on the Choice Hotels website. A maximum of 120,000 points can be purchased each calendar year. Additionally, you can choose to earn airline miles with select partners or Amtrak Guest Rewards points instead of Choice Privileges points.

Choice Privileges members can redeem points for free nights at more than 7,000 Choice-affiliated hotels worldwide. Only hotels with room availability that sit within a 15-mile radius of each destination are reflected in the above chart.

Choice Privileges points can also be exchanged for airline miles on nine national and international carriers, including American Airlines and Southwest Airlines. Or, you can cash in your points for Amtrak Guest Rewards points or cruise credits that can be used with 20-plus cruise lines, including Carnival Cruise Lines and Royal Caribbean International. Points can also go toward magazine subscriptions, experiences (like spa services and hot air balloon rides) and digital gift cards to more than 80 restaurants and retailers. What's more, points can be used to make charitable donations to the American Red Cross and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, among other organizations.
