With the Hilton Honors program, you can earn points by staying at any Hilton property at participating brands and by making everyday purchases with a Hilton Honors-affiliated credit card. Cash in your points for free nights, airline or rail miles, experiences and more.

Earning Points

For every dollar spent on rooms and room charges like telephone calls and room service, you'll receive 10 reward points, known as base points. You can earn these points by staying at any participating Hilton-affiliated property within brands like Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & ResortsConrad Hotels & ResortsDoubleTree by Hilton, Curio Collection by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn. If you stay at a Hampton by Hilton, Tru by Hilton, Homewood Suites by Hilton or Home2 Suites by Hilton hotel, in-room expenses do not qualify for base points earning. And at Home2 Suites by Hilton and Tru by Hilton properties, you will earn five to 10 base points for every dollar spent on room rates, depending on your membership level.

In addition to base points, you can earn bonus points through promotional offers sent by email and shared on the Hilton Honors app and social media accounts. You'll earn more bonus points by linking your Lyft and Hilton Honors accounts and booking Lyft rides, converting accrued miles or points from affiliated airline and rail partners or renting vehicles from Hilton's car rental partners, which include Alamo, Enterprise and National. If you have a Hilton Honors American Express credit card, you're eligible to earn bonus points for every dollar spent on hotel bookings and everyday purchases. The number of bonus points earned per dollar spent depends on the credit card you choose. If you're short on bonus points, you can purchase up to 80,000 points per year in 1,000-point increments on the Hilton Honors website.

Using Points

You can use Hilton Honors base points to earn elite status. Base and bonus points may also be used to pay for a standard or premium room at any participating Hilton or Hilton-affiliated hotel or resort. The number of Honors points needed to cash in on room rewards depends on the Hilton hotel, the type of room you choose and your reservation.

You can also combine Honors points and money (known as "Points & Money Rewards") to pay for a standard or premium room. The lowest number of points needed for a Points & Money reward stay in a standard room starts at 5,000 points per night. Below are the number of points needed for one free night in any room (ranging from standard rooms to premium rooms) in a selection of popular business and leisure destinations:

Because of Hilton's partnerships with airlines like United Airlines, Delta Air Lines and American Airlines, Hilton Honors members can convert Honors points to miles to use for air travel. Additionally, Honors points may be used for purchases made on Amazon. Hilton Honors members can also transfer points to a friend or relative, redeem points for experiences like concert tickets and sporting events, use points for Hilton gift cards and donate their points to charity. Points can also be pooled with up to 10 other membership accounts to redeem room rewards and other perks.
