#14 in Best Hotel Rewards Programs
The Omni Select Guest program does not use traditional points, but every qualifying night you stay at an Omni hotel brings you one step closer to a free night.
Stay 20 qualifying nights (nights paid at full price) at any Omni Hotels & Resorts property and you'll earn one free night certificate for a future stay. As a Platinum Level or Black Level member, you'll be able to accumulate free nights faster: For each qualifying night, you'll collect double the amount of free night credits to apply toward a free night certificate.
As an Omni Select Guest member, free night certificates must be redeemed within 12 months (or in 24 months for Black Level members). Redemption depends on room availability and may be subject to blackout dates. Your complimentary DISCOVERY membership allows you to earn status credits toward your Select Guest membership level, but you can only earn and redeem free night certificates at Omni Hotels & Resorts properties. Below are the number of nights needed for one free night in any room (ranging from standard rooms to premium rooms) in a selection of popular business and leisure destinations:
|Destination||No. of hotels||Cost of room in points|
|San Juan, PR||0||N/A|
|New York City||1||20|
The calculated costs shown above are based on booking searches conducted by U.S. News on July 6, 2018. We analyzed room rates for one-night stays arriving Saturday and departing Sunday four weeks from the research date. Only hotels with room availability that sit within a 15-mile radius of each destination are reflected in the above chart.

Wyndham Rewards ...
The Wyndham Rewards program caters to leisure and business travelers who visit popular destinations in the United States, Europe, Mexico and Asia. As a Wyndham Rewards member, you'll earn points when you stay in any of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts' more than 8,000 properties across several distinctive brands, including Days Inn by Wyndham, Dolce Hotels and Resorts by Wyndham, Ramada Worldwide by Wyndham and Wyndham Grand. Wyndham Hotels & Resorts' alliance with Amtrak and numerous air carriers – such as American Airlines and United Airlines – also allows you to earn miles or points. You can earn points on car rentals, too, thanks to Wyndham's partnerships with Avis and Budget. Wyndham Rewards also introduced a partnership in 2017 with Caesars Entertainment's Total Rewards program, allowing members to link accounts, status match and earn and redeem points at Caesars properties. Additionally, you can earn rewards points on hotel and everyday purchases if you have one of two Wyndham Rewards Visa credit cards. Earned points can be used for hotel stays, vacation rentals, flights, gift cards and retail purchases. What's more, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts' acquisition of the La Quinta hotel franchise in 2018 means Wyndham Rewards members can transfer points to the La Quinta Returns program and redeem them for free nights, and vice versa. La Quinta Returns members can also status match their membership to the related Wyndham Rewards elite tier. Both programs are expected to merge in spring or summer 2019.
