Sonesta Travel Pass members can earn and redeem points at 74 participating Sonesta properties worldwide. The majority of Sonesta's properties are located in the U.S., with hotels primarily situated along the West Coast and East Coast, and in the South and Midwest. There are also Sonesta hotels and resorts on St. Maarten and in Peru, Colombia, Ecuador and Chile. If you hold a Sonesta World Mastercard credit card, you can earn additional points on purchases you make using the card. To earn a free night, you must accrue at least 15,000 points. However, the minimum amount of points needed for a free night varies by hotel.

Earning Points

As a Sonesta Travel Pass member, you'll earn 10 points for every dollar spent on a qualifying night at a participating property. Qualifying nights are reservations made on Sonesta's website or through the brand's call center. To collect points for nights spent at Sonesta hotels, include your account number when booking. You may also add your membership ID number to an existing reservation before your stay begins by emailing your confirmation information to the Travel Pass Customer Care Team. And if you happen to stay at a Sonesta hotel 30 days prior to signing up for Sonesta Travel Pass, you can request stay credits up to 60 days after you enroll by calling the Travel Pass Customer Care Team. Additional points are awarded to members who make purchases with a Sonesta World Mastercard credit card.

Using Points

Sonesta Travel Pass members can use points to cover select room rates at participating Sonesta properties around the globe. To redeem accrued points for a free night, travelers must call the Travel Pass Customer Care Team or fill out an online redemption request form. Points can also be transferred to immediate family members: parents, a spouse, siblings or children. The minimum number of points needed for a free night depends on the property's tier. A free night at a Tier 1 hotel is 15,000 points; however, points requirements for a free night at Tier 2 to Tier 9 properties range from 17,500 to 50,000 points.
